just another one of my rants

Since my mother in law went back to Lebanon, life got even more busy that normal. For 2 months she was doing all the cooking, laundry, cleaning…and all we had to do was wake up, and go to work. It was a mini vacation for my mother as well…because for the past few years’ she’s been our support, as well as helping raise River. When my mother in law was here…my mother really enjoyed as well. But now it’s just Marcel, River (river will be in Oregon till next Saturday), me and Fluffy. My mother is staying with her sister. She (my aunt) was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer recently, and is currently receiving chemo and radiation. Since my mother has experience being a caregiver for Marcel, she went to do the same for her sister. My mother is doing great since her own surgery….she didn’t need another stent…the one she had, just needed to opened more (I don’t get it).


So aside from doing our own laundry and taking care of ourselves, and everyone’s medical problems….we’ve been great :)  no really, we have. 3 weeks ago, we went to Santa Cruz for a romantic weekend.....it was amazing! If anyone here is married, the best thing for a marriage is to get away for a few days alone. It’s so easy to let life live you…instead of living life itself.

There’s so much drama going on between Lebanon and the IDF. To those who think they know, but don’t. This most recent conflict had nothing to do with Hezbollah…the IDF were in an area they were not authorized to be in. The conflict was between the “LAF” and the “IDF”. I’ve been getting a lot of hate email from Israeli supporters, so I will be disabling my email options.

I wish that everyone could see the real truth what’s going on in Lebanon…that Christians, Muslims, Druze, Jewish and atheists (yes there are Jews and atheists’ in Lebanon, they are few but they exist) live in Peace. I get so sick every time I hear someone call Lebanon an Islamic Nation. Not because I dislike Islam (because many of closest friends are Muslim)….but because it’s not true. It’s like the rest of the world doesn’t realize there is a large Middle Eastern population who is Christian…but outside of the Middle East they act like we don’t exist. Of course it has to do with politics….but Hello….the Lebanese President is Christian. I met someone the other day here at the hospital…and they told me I was a liar that I was Christian…because there are no Christians in the Middle East. I was in shock…she told me that Christians had there hands cut up..and were stoned to death. I walked away from the Lady…what could I say?

I hope that everyone in Lebanon has a safe rest of summer (and everyone else around the world)… I really miss swimming in the Mediterranean Sea
