I’m really proud of him for hanging in there for so long! He left on good terms and they will write him a letter of reference, for future employment Marcel seeks. I kind of prefer he stays home for a while. He took this job before the cancer relapsed. I just don’t want him over working himself and worrying about unimportant things. I want him to get better and healthy.

River starts school this coming Monday. I have my baby for only 3 more years :(
His summer was awesome! He was barley home and did a lot of traveling. He came home from his most recent trip in Oregon with his best friend and his parents. They did a whole lot. I’m really grateful that the parents of Rivers friend are very involved and a little crazy like me (crazy as in…they need to know the parents…want all the info ect.). It makes it very easy letting my child venture out. They barley met at the begging of the school year when they both joined ROTC. Even though it’s only been a year, they’re like brothers! I have no idea where the end of this road is going to take us….but wherever it does…we’ll get through it

Good that your husband is taking a rest from work, and it's really nice to see how supportive of that you are too. :)
you will get through it :)
I think that it's good that Marcel is leaving his job, it's better for him to concentrate on getting better and healthier.
As for River, you speak of him as if he is leaving and not going to see you aagain. Mothers"sigh" lol. He is only going to have his own life started and you will always be his loving mother. You have a great relationship and that's what matters :)
Wow that looked like a fun trip for your son! In this heat, I wouldn't mind falling into the river for a nice cool off! Love your blog. Lots of my friends are from Lebanon and really love it there!
